Pregabalin belongs to non-γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor agonists or antagonists, and is a new type of calcium ion channel modulator, which can block voltage-dependent calcium channels and reduce the release of neurotransmitters. Clinically, it is mainly used for neuralgia related to diabetic peripheral neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia and adjuvant treatment of adult partial epileptic seizures, generalized anxiety disorder, central neuralgia (including spinal cord injury, stroke and neuralgia associated with multiple sclerosis) and fibromyalgia.
